Account Executive – Ad Sales – San Francisco, Los Angeles & Chicago

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Horizontal seller - Able to understand the landscape of buyers and influencers within the breadth of the account, from agency planner through advertising manager
- Solution seller - Has the ability to understand the entire suite of ad products and is able to provide the best solution for every client
- Agency contacts - Intimately understands the landscape of accounts within each major agency in the Territory
- Revenue Generator – Build and maintain a solid book of business required in driving Territory and Company goals
- Expeditor - Must expedite/monitor every aspect of their orders from proposal to delivery
- Relationship expert - Must be able to cultivate meaningful relationships with agency contacts in every account in Territory
- SalesForce Maintenance - Must be proficient with CRM programs and diligent in keeping it current
- Reporting - Must have the ability to forecast accurate sales numbers to Senior Vice President
- Communication Skills - Must possess solid written and oral communication skills and cold calling skills
- Software - Must be proficient with email applications, Presentation building, MS office and strong Internet knowledge
- Online advertising sales background desired. Approximately 25% travel is required.
Qualifications
- Online advertising/digital media experience is CRITICAL
- Team player that takes initiative and is willing to jump on this opportunity with zeal
- Understanding of brand marketing is preferred
- Experience selling to agencies is a must along with understanding their dynamics and how they operate
- 3+ years of demonstratable and successful experience in internet media or advertising including account management for sales, agency planning, and/or advertising sales
- Extensive contacts at top agencies and knowledge of how to prospect the business
- Ambitious, independent, highly motivated self-starter with outstanding and polished presentation skills
- Attention to detail; excellent organizational skills; superior time management skills; and the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Superior oral/written (grammar, spelling, professional) communication skills coupled with the ability to prepare presentation materials and collateral
- Experience generating and maintaining reports; data collection and analysis on activities
- Increasing RFP flow with the ability to follow key leads through the sales pipeline
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Photoshop and/or other presentation and tracking software
- Sense of humor
- Comfortable with a start-up environment (changing priorities, tight deadlines, fast-paced, etc)
- College degree required
- Travel required
