Targeting Software Engineer
4INFO is looking for a Targeting Software Engineer to assist with the construction and development of 4INFO's next generation mobile advertising targeting engine. 4INFO's next targeting engine will provide campaign targeting directions to 4INFO's mobile advertising server to aid in ad targeting via text, graphic and rich media ad units.
It is expected that this person with be able to take a high level objective and deliver results with minimal supervision - working around the challenges and setbacks that come with every project, and deliver the results on time. We are looking for a candidate who has a high level of energy, enthusiasm, intelligence, creativity, and adaptability. This person will work closely with other technical people in a multicultural environment. Therefore, we are looking for a candidate who has good communication and teamwork skills.
This position reports into the Chief Technology Officer, and is located at the 4INFO San Mateo engineering office.
Job Qualifications
- Solid ability to solve application problems independently and/or with team members.
- Understanding and knowledge of ad server/platform engineering is a plus.
- Understanding of mobile media delivery methodologies is a plus.
- Work with 4INFO's CTO and Research Scientist to implement algorithms specifically constructed for the 4INFO targeting engine.
- Work with team to implement customer business requirements for the 4INFO platform.
- Write code to develop assigned features; deliver quality product in a timely manner.
- Proven technical skills in analysis and design for complex systems.
- Ability to work with both internal and external customers and meet project deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills required.
Job Requirements
- 4+ years experience implementing platform technologies using Java and J2ME.
- BS in computer science preferred or equivalent experience.
- Rich media delivery technologies on mobile environments a plus.
- Experience with math and data systems a plus
- Understanding of development projects using Agile, rapid development and waterfall techniques.
- Requires the following technical skills: J2EE, HTML, XML, JDBC, SQL, web technologies such as JSP or ASP, mobile data protocols such as MM7/WAP/SMPP.
- Passion for technology and gadgets
